			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="mceTemp">11 Dec 2009 marks the inaugural Fitness &amp; Dance Class designed for the senior citizens from the Peace-Connect Neighbourhood Link &#8211; a senior activity center providing daily care and support to almost 1,000 elderly living in rented one-room flats in the Kampong Glam area. The youngest among the group of elderly who attended the class is 60 years old while the most senior is 82 in age.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The session began with 30 minutes of stretching (using the exercise balls), followed by another 30 minutes of basic footwork exercise along with Sally Yeh&#8217;s upbeat music <img src='http://s2.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' />  The elderly and members from Fitness 2 Share then rested and chatted over afternoon high-tea for another 30 minutes before the elderly were sent home safely by pre-arranged transportation.</p>

<p>Quoting the center manager, Ms Lucy Tan, in her sms to Fitness 2 Share after the session: &#8220;They were excitedly happy and all are looking forward to the next session&#8221;.</p></blockquote>

<p>The class will be held regularly on every Friday, 2pm &#8211; 3.30pm, and all cost of transport and organization are fully borned by Fitness 2 Share as part of its social outreach effort. All who are willing to volunteer 90 minutes of time to befriend these elderly on any of the Fridays are most welcome to contact us for more details <img src='http://s2.wp.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p><span style="color:#000000;">With effect from 09 November 2009, Fitness 2 Share has begun its operation at Cuppage Plaza, Level 5, to provide fitness classes (Dance Fitness, Fitball, Strength Fitness, Strength-&amp;-Tone with Loopz etc) to members at very affordable rates.  Members will enjoy the convenience of a central location in town and the satisfaction of overcoming fitness challenges with our resident instructress, Tina, while knowing that their membership fee is benefitting the community.</span></p>

<p><span style="color:#000000;">A variety of classes are available daily (except on Sundays) in the mornings and evenings to keep you in shape and in great health. All are welcome to visit for trial classes and we guarantee that your muscles will undergo a workout never yet experienced before.</span></p>
